QBWF Corporate Ambassador Programme is a Call to Action!

On behalf of the Qatari Business Women Forum (QBWF), Action Qatar arranged, promoted and hosted a two-day forum at the Doha Sheraton, the Corporate Ambassador Programme, which concluded on 11 February with a lavish closing ceremony. Programme attendees included H.E. Sheikh Fahed Bin Jassim Bin Mohammad Al-Thani, Minister of Trade & Business, H.E. Joseph LeBaron, U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, and Mrs. Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairwoman of QBWF.

The QBWF was established in 2000 to support the contribution of women to the economic development of Qatar. The purpose of the event was to help improve entrepreneurs’ and business professionals’ knowledge and experience, to provide networking opportunities and to offer insights into current global economic issues. Participating Qatari businessmen and women attended three workshops and two panel discussions.

“The Corporate Ambassador programme was able to satisfy its mission of providing the tools and information SMEs need to improve and manage their enterprises,” said Mrs. Al Fardan. “QBWF is delighted there has been such a positive response, and we will tailor future conferences and programmes to address current events and meet the evolving needs of Qatari businessmen and women. The success of this programme indicates there is a desire for more conferences and programmes of its kind. ”

“Our team put together a fantastic event for the Corporate Ambassador Programme,” said Anna-Denise Ioannou, Action Qatar Country Manager. “We are hoping the success of the Forum results in future opportunities for Action Qatar to work with the QBWF.”
