To The Beat of Sport! Action Russia Steps Up for VisitBritain
On 18 March, the Action Russia team organized another fantastic event for VisitBritain, “To The Beat of Sport”, an official party to celebrate VisitBritain’s participation in MITT 2009, an annual travel exhibition in Moscow. The evening reception was held at the British Embassy; the room was packed with guests, including Russian tour operators, travel agents, transport companies, and British travel services providers.
The evening held close to its “Beat of Sport” theme: a band of drummers opened the event, and a DJ spun rhythmic music and inspired the guests to play a game called ‘Relay’ – at the conclusion of the game, partygoers participated in a raffle to win giveaway prizes like Arshavin’s T-shirt and a Chelsea branded ball. Minister Counsellor of the British Embassy Caroline Wilson, who hosted the event, emphasized that the purpose of the event is to nurture existing partnerships and to build new partnerships.
In addition to the team’s “To the Beat of Sport” Duties, Action Russia also coordinated entertainment for the two B2B days of MITT 2009. On the first day, titled “Tradition Meets Innovation”, Action invited a traditional Celtic band and a magician to perform; on the second day, which was dedicated to Scotland, Action Russia invited a bagpipe player.
“We had a wonderful time at the 'Beat of Sport' event”, said Lina Shurkevich, Country Manager for Action Russia. “Our team has proven once again that Action Russia is the go-to agency in Moscow for any and all types of events, promotions and celebrations. We look forward to our ongoing collaboration with VisitBritain”.
