Action Hellas supports a revolutionary medical breakthrough

Interventional Radiology is a revolutionary medical breakthrough and Action Global Communications Hellas was present at its recent presentation to the public, contributing its expertise in order to better inform the public. Parallel with this presentation, the Greek Institute of Interventional Radiology held its 4th Panhellenic Conference (May 29-31), where the latest developments in IR were announced. The Interventional Radiology information campaign lasted two weeks.

The first week focussed on Klathmonos square, where a performance group of 6 dancers, choreographed by director Mr. Papazoglou performed live. The dancers hung around their necks multicolour X-ray photographs (back and front), and finished their look with Interventional Radiology branded hats. The scenario was completed by a mime, dressed as a doctor – also with I.R. branding - who urged people to find out more about Interventional Radiology and pick up the relevant leaflet. Two huge balloons in I.R. colors also marked the area of the event.

Meanwhile, promoters dressed in IR T-shirts distributed informative material for two hours every day to the people passing through the Square – handing out a total of 30.000 leaflets.

The information campaign also included the cooperation of the City Press newspaper. City Press published 2 full-page advertisements and four advertisements of ¼, in the time frame of 1 week. The same paper also published an interview with the Interventional Radiology Institute’s President.

Further activities included publicity of IR through articles and interviews in leading daily and monthly titles (health publications and newspaper supplements) as well as the presence of Mr. Kelekis, President of Greek Institute of Interventional Radiology, on a number of TV shows. Specifically, Mr Kelekis was invited to speak to Net TV, Alter TV and NET radio. Supporting the campaign were press releases which were sent to newspapers, magazines and websites. A press release was issued for the announcement of the campaign, while another was sent after the completion of the Conference along with conclusions and statements from the speakers and other attendees.

The campaign was further reinforced by exterior advertisements on Athens public transport trolleys for the two week period.
