Create a stylish, modern image for Mio PDA and PNA devices on the local market to attract the younger generation (summer 2007)
Objectives:
• To position Mio as a stylish, trendy device
• To reach the younger generation
• To distinguish the product from competitors’
Challenges:
• Mio’s main competitors are strong international brands, e.g. Nokia, LG
• The company did not want to use any direct advertising
• To come up with a fun campaign – without depreciating the brand
• The campaign was scheduled for the summertime, when many people were away from the main towns, on vacation.
Results:
• By creating a ‘fun’ campaign and focusing on Hungary’s most popular summer festivals and events, we were able to directly influence over 300,000 young people.
• The unusual ‘fun’ activities received very positive feedback from festival participants and organizers, and attracted extensive media interest and coverage.
• Product sales have shown excellent results, far exceeding the client’s expectations.
